How to Live Forever: The Reality of Having Eternal Life
“And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.”
1 John 5:11-12 NIV
People want to live forever (in that no one wants to die), but living forever in this world would be hellish. Living forever in pure perfection and complete absence of evil is the true life and paradise. But it may seem as though some are unaware of how achievable this fantastic reality is.
Some people in this world would probably prefer to buy eternal life for, say, a billion dollars. Or they would prefer science to make it possible for them to live forever because Christ Jesus, the only way to eternal life, seems not extravagant enough or even boring. How deluded, for there is no joy or even laughter without Mighty God.
The nightlife will tell you: If you want to have a good time, make sure you drink alcohol and use drugs. Because the nightlife that is professed by the world, a world which has the devil as its god, is a life outside of God and light, and only God is Light. So, without these intoxicating substances, you have no access to anything good or perfect that constitutes a good time, and all you can do is create fake, insecure, non-lasting versions of the virtues of life that are sourced by only the living good God, who is the manifested Christ.
Happily Ever After is Not a Fantasy
People think Christianity is a religion, but it is reality. Christ-ianity is not a popular religion or a religion to choose from other options. Religion is a man-made construct from when God paved the way for mankind to be in right-standing with Him. As the practices and rituals were passed down from generation to generation for hundreds of years, the true purpose and integrity of these acts of worship would fade more and more, so the actions and rituals became less of a means of worship to God and more of a habit. And this emptiness of practices and rituals done as a form of worship is religion.
Yes, Jesus was a Jew, but being a Jew back then just meant the lineage of King David. It meant the lineage of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jacob, whose name was changed by God to Israel, and this Jacob who was now Israel, all his sons and daughters would then be the Israelites, the Jacobites, if there was no name change. Jacob is Israel, and the Israelites are the literal children that came from Jacob, Isaac, and Abraham, in God fulfilling His promise to Abraham.
Jesus Christ is the Christ, which means the Anointed One, who is God the Father made manifest through God the Spirit of the Father. There is no telling why planting a seed grows into a plant sprout. Don’t tell me that that is happening because when the sun’s rays reach the ground and the rain falls it causes the seed to grow. I know that. But why do those things react to each other as they do? No one can tell you.
All science can do is name every step and tell you as each step happens, like photosynthesis, but no one can ever tell you why these things are happening. All they can tell you is that they are happening. This is to say, God is real! Only Christ is the literal revealer of this God, and therefore only through Christ can we see and reach this God. Do you see the universe? It’s so big that it makes more sense to believe that Earth is not the only place that has life. If you ask me, the key is to see the universe as the heavens, and all of a sudden the need for there to be more life seizes because the heavens are for God and His glory.
If this marvelous God is a holy God, through thee most gentle Holy Spirit, and He tells you that you have become evil and fall short of the glory of God, you are a witness to God because you see that you are indeed evil and that everyone else is as well, and so His saying you need to be cleansed and purified must be true. He provides you the means to be cleansed and reconciled to Him because it is He who is God, but how could you not believe His means of cleansing you?
How could you make any justification as to why you don’t need to be a pure soul to see a perfect God? He says you have perfection through Him because He became the sacrificial Lamb to satisfy God’s holiness by cleansing you.
He, Christ, became the lamb to satisfy Their (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) holiness. Now just like Jesus couldn’t die unless He became our sins (because only sin brings forth death), and just like He couldn’t stay dead because He was the perfect Son of God, in Christ, we can’t die too because we have been made perfect, we have been made to be exactly like Jesus, and therefore are able to inherit eternal life.
It is of great importance to understand that eternal life is acquired right now in this present life because if one leaves this current life without eternal life unfortunately that means they are in eternal death. As a human being is a spirit, they cannot die in this physical realm, and as a human spirit is in the eternal image of God, death for a spirit means the absence of life, and only Christ is life.
Did You Know: Eternal life is going to be on Earth, a renewed Heavens and Earth of course, when God’s City, where He is right now, will come down and we’ll be with Him forevermore, as we already are. I used to frown at this because the idea was to be up there right? But now I concur and actually don’t wanna leave the Earth. Of course, the Earth was originally heaven, and it is and will be made to be so again.
What Might Have One Not Fully Convinced?
What might have you not give yourself fully to the Lord? Is it the integrity of the Bible? Oh, don’t worry, if the sun and moon still rise and fall as rulers of the world, He surely can keep the integrity of His book. Do you think His book was written by men? Oh no, we are in the image of God because as He is a Spirit, so are we human spirits as well and God’s Spirit can become one with our spirits, so the Holy Spirit wrote the Bible through mankind. Of course, only He could know all those fine details of all the moments that made up the lives of His chosen children.
So what’s left? Your upbringing makes you not to be fully convinced? Your parents weren’t believers? Your country? Well, it is desired for even conjoined twins to be separated from each other, for each human has its own soul and spirit. Each human’s destiny is placed inside their truest, purest desires. The devil has made the world to be worshippers of many things because if you’re busy worshipping those things, you are certainly not worshipping God.
Yes, we are not meant to be alone, but we are not made to be worshippers of our parents, our families, or our communities either. If you’re born into some or another religion, or born into being a lukewarm Christian, I am not saying believe me, I’m saying believe logic, believe knowledge, believe wisdom and believe understanding. This is not rocket science. Just look at the sky. Not believing in God is denying yourself of what you see and what you already witness.
