What is the Power of Knowledge and its Importance?
Knowledge is a healer of the world. It is a remedy for crippling ignorance. We do not have knowledge if we do not know, we even won’t write the word knowledge without ‘know’. Having knowledge is having the state of knowing.
Like knowing to love, to be kind, caring, and truthful. What we know is what we become. Understanding is a prerequisite of knowledge. If we understand what we know, only then is it knowledge. If we do not understand it, it is inactive, dead, or just information.
In the Holy Bible, the knowledge of good was paradise but the knowledge of good and evil became the fall of mankind from paradise. Knowing something changes the reality of the knower. Knowing is changing from one position to another.
And therefore, not knowing keeps us in the same position. It is true when they say knowledge is power because knowledge brings forth change. Knowledge is the difference between life with plumbing and life without plumbing.
Why Knowledge is Power
As time has moved and knowledge acquired, there have been advancements as a result. The good kind of change that everyone desires is brought forth by knowledge, and that’s evident in human culture. And just like the unending universe, knowledge is infinite.
No one will ever know everything thus there can always be something new to learn. We can physically measure knowledge with the infinite universe because there is knowledge (things to know) that is yet unknown in the universe, at least from the basis of every star and galaxy that is the expansion and unendingness of the universe.
The depth of unending knowledge is the beauty of the infinite universe. It is the seen with the bare eye beauty of the universe. If knowledge roams the earth, it roams the universe, for indeed the earth is inside the universe; the earth is in space itself, floating splendidly.
The Spirit of Knowledge
We have knowledge because we as spirits connect (internally) with the spirit of knowledge from the Spirit of God, for the physical world is made by the spiritual world and never the other way around. It is futile to worry about all the things we don’t know, especially because we don’t even know what they are.
We should rather focus on what we do know and on advancing our knowledge for the betterment of ourselves and our communities. Bettering ourselves with knowledge is not just for us but it’s for the advancement of the whole human race.
Self-Knowledge
An important part of knowledge to know is self-knowledge, yet this is accomplished purely through the knowledge of God because He is our Maker. Our truest identity can only be found in the Almighty. A child in kindergarten knows their name, their face, and their bag pack—they know the self-knowledge in their spectrum before adding more knowledge. From having self-knowledge, which is knowledge manifested within, one can pursue knowledge from without, which is the knowledge of our environment and the world.
Knowledge is a Strategy
Knowledge from without is knowing how the world around us functions. Seeing it for what it is, not for what we hoped it was. This is important because we need to understand the impactful information we know as it is so we can construct relevant strategies to navigate the realised world.
This is the point of knowledge, to use it as a tool to best function in the world. Knowledge breeds more knowledge. Having knowledge of what the world is and how it functions in order to create strategies, which are knowledge themselves, is knowledge breeding knowledge.
From the knowledge within and the knowledge without, we will build strategies that are full of knowledge. Living out those strategies will mean we live a life that is intentional instead of an unsure life. We will have life on a stable foundation that isn’t able to be shaken by winds and storms.
And this is because knowledge is not about being smart, knowledge is a gift from God to best live life. Knowledge is the freedom to be secure and in love because we have learned about ourselves and environments, and it is peace because of the sense of security we have. Knowledge is the key to self-development and self-improvement and even world peace.
