What is The Meaning and Purpose of Religion
“Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.” James 1:27 ESV
Religion makes people think there are many options of truth, when the truth is the truth because there is no other reality but it. In fact, religion is what separates people as each religion becomes a truth to its members. If people of faith can’t agree on one truth, how much more will people of unbelief not believe? Is the truth really that complicated to grasp and comprehend or is there something else at play?
Communities that practice ancestral worship, like a big portion of people of color, will tell you how their ancestors worshiped ancestors and so it is their tradition and heritage to follow in those footsteps. Not because it is logical and sound to do so, but simply because of an identity crisis does the community of color do this in pursuit of self-actualization and self-assurance. My question is, will you go to hell for other people’s uninformed ideas?
Hell is not a scare tactic, it is the spiritual home of human souls that die with their evil nature not having been cleansed, and so they literally can’t enter heaven because it is only for the holy and perfect. It is only Christ Jesus who was perfect and could therefore cleanse those who aren’t so that they too could become sons and daughters of God, able to inherit from the holy and perfect Father His perfect and holy home. It’s really not rocket science. It’s plain, simple, and completely logical.
No One Can Send Themselves to Heaven
Everyone is a witness to themselves that they are sinful and utterly imperfect, and no amount of prayer can cleanse you of your sins but the God who you must believe became flesh to die for your sins, otherwise, you can’t not admit to being doomed for all eternity. For I don’t suppose any human should think their filth, evil, and unholiness will be welcomed by the holy Father who loves justice and righteousness.
So you see, there can’t be many truths to choose from. There can’t be multiple religions to choose from. And if there isn’t more than one religion, then religion becomes redundant as only reality is left. Indeed, the truth is reality. People inherit concepts and ideas from their ancestors who believed what they believed because they did not have access to truth as we do.
The Redundant Purpose of Religion
People think it is honor to blindly follow religious rituals and concepts when it is foolish because people know more than their ancestors knew. We’re in the 21st century and modern electricity is no more than 3 centuries old (not considering BCE). For thousands of years people literally lived in the dark, saved only by such as candles and fire. It is not an insult to say ancestors knew little to what we know, it is a fact and denying this is denying ourselves.
You must understand that there is no religion (as the world knows it), there is only one God and one Truth that makes one reality. God depicts how to Him, religion is acts of love, kindness, and generosity. I have no choice but to identify as a Christian because of all these other options the world and ancestors have curated, but Christianity is not a religion. Christianity is having the Spirit of the Father and the Spirit of Christ (because Christ is the Word of the Father made flesh and therefore Son as born of God) living inside you and making you too a child and heir of God.
If you are not a child of God in this specific way, for there is no other way to be a child of God but to have His Holy Spirit, then how can you inherit His eternal home? You are a spirit, no spirit or soul can die in this physical realm. Because humankind is in the image of God, the only death for a soul is eternally and consciously (as yourself) dying forever by not being in the life and light of God, who is Christ (God made manifest, for God is His Word).
What Is At Play?
Denying spiritual logic and knowledge is a result of self-worship. One would rather choose to follow their own beliefs and customs than seek God and find the Word of God. Following the Bible He authored means you will do and live as He says, but one might not want that so what do they do? They are stubborn to truth and understanding and reject wisdom just so they can keep living in the sin they love. Darkness and ignorance are at play as influenced by the kingdom of darkness and evil.
The Bible isn’t history, we are living in the Bible this very day. The end has been prophesied as well as what comes before the end. These foretold prophecies are the reality of this day and age in this 21st century. If one persists to reject truth, it is not because they are unable to understand, it is that they are destined for eternal doom. If I were them, I would rue the day I was ever born and beg Christ.
But of course, if you’re destined for hell, your pride and heart of stone won’t allow you to beg Christ because that’s what it means to be destined. Oh, what a conundrum. What a tragedy. May the Lord desire to add you to His Book of Life and rescue you from eternal death, in Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
