Ye Must Be Born Again and Why It’s Important

What does it mean to be born again? It means to be born like Jesus; to be born of the Spirit of God instead of being born from flesh and blood through sexual intercourse. It is flesh and blood that has fallen short of the glory of God through sin that brings forth death.

We must be born again because only through being born of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of the Heavenly Father, can one be born sinless and therefore without inevitable death. Being born sinless and unequipped for death is the only way one can be equipped for eternal life with the Holy Father. Ye must be born again.

The Work Of the Cross

This is the work of the cross: for Jesus to have cleansed us unto God’s holiness and righteousness [perfectness]. With the blood of Christ, what does the Father see when He sees you and me? He sees Jesus. When one is in Christ, the Father sees them as a perfect daughter or a perfect son because they are clothed in His Son.

Nothing less than perfect can enter into heaven, the home of eternal life. No sinner can enter heaven, and all who were sinners who have received Christ have received His perfectness and have become saints and God’s righteousness.

All sinners must have received the Perfect Gift of Salvation of the Father and only through receiving this Gift do they qualify for heaven and eternal life, as they are born again of the Spirit and are disqualified from death because they are born of the perfect Spirit of God.

“You therefore must be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭48‬ ‭ESV‬‬

“since it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.””
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭16‬ ‭ESV‬‬

The Kingdom of Light vs the kingdom of darkness

The world teaches us that righteousness and holiness are boring and no fun. The opposite is true. It is only in righteousness and holiness, which belong to God, that one can have access to all the goodness and riches of life. They belong to only God, and being without God is being without them all.

All goodness includes endless amounts of joy, peace, laughter, riches, life, honor, and every perfect thing deserving praise. Quite literally this is what heaven is and what eternal life will be, an endless reality of boundless goodness forever and ever.

One may be born with the gift of a beautiful singing voice, but that speaks to God’s generous grace and goodness. If one grows to use that voice singing of dishonourable things, they may gain the world but what good is gaining the world and losing their soul to the kingdom of darkness?

Evil is Foolish

The devil once said to Jesus that if Jesus bows down to him, he will give Jesus the kingdoms of the world. We may have our money but it will never be enough to fill the void of having our souls in the wrong kingdom, the kingdom of the evil one.

We should not let the devil fool us into thinking God is boring when it is only in the kingdom of the devil and darkness that we need alcohol and drugs to feel resemblances of happiness and goodness, only for those substances to leave us feeling empty and void with unchanged circumstances once they are depleted.

It is only in God and His kingdom of righteousness and holiness [the life] that anxiety and depression are uninhabitable, and where loneliness and fear cannot exist.

“Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Where the word of a king is, there is power”
‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭8‬:‭4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

A Choice Is Always Made

If a true Christian lives with depression and anxiety through and through, it can only be because they have convinced themselves that it is their depression and their anxiety; a thing they own and that belongs to them. It can only be because of a mental and emotional stronghold that they’ve lived with so long that they don’t want to let go of the depression and anxiety because it’s become their identity.

In Christ is true freedom and being freed from all that the devil and his kingdom of darkness try to convince us are things we will be missing out on if we follow God’s Word. The only thing we’ll be missing out on in the kingdom of God is hopelessness, defeat, pride, offence, mental and emotional unhealthiness, and the reality of not being a conqueror, a victor, and a champion.

We choose a kingdom here on earth in this lifetime, and whatever kingdom we have chosen in this life will be the home we go to, for indeed the human spirit cannot die in this physical realm. In God’s kingdom (as still in this lifetime), a challenge manifests in our lives for one reason, for us to conquer it for the glory of God.

Without Goliath, David was just a teenage boy. Without the lion and the bear, David was just a shepherd boy. But with these challenges, David revealed himself to be a king and one anointed by God. Don’t you get what the cross means? It means we are back in the Garden of Eden where everything is good and perfect again.

The work of the cross is the reversal of the fall of all creation that happened in Genesis with Adam and Eve. Eternal death came with one man, Adam. Eternal life has been redeemed by the One who originally made it, the Word of God that became flesh, Jesus Christ.

The only difference now is that we are waiting for our new glorified bodies and new heavens and a new Earth. But before that happens, the difference between a believer and an unbeliever is when a storm comes.

“For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭19‬ ‭ESV‬‬

For a believer, the storm comes and finds our foundation on the Rock that is Christ. For the unbeliever, the storm comes and finds the foundation on the sand, having all that’s built to crumble down and cease as all things are tossed to and fro in destruction.

Indeed, the final storm is the coming wrath of God leading to when the devil, death, and hell will be thrown into the lake of fire for all eternity, and no one wants to belong to the devil and hell when that happens because it is eternal death. For the human spirit is in the eternal image of God, therefore, death for a spirit is by not being in life, and only Christ is the life, as He also is the way and the truth.

About Christ

Christ existed only as the Word, “Let there be light”, and the “thus saith the Lord” words from God’s mouth before being made into flesh, that is why He is the Son. He is God born of Himself and therefore God’s only begotten Son.

Until we are in the glorified body like Christ is right now, through His Spirit, we must be utterly un-conformed of the world, remembering that there is nothing good in the world, nothing to desire, no light as we are the light of the world.

Jesus Christ is the sacrificial lamb that died for the world, and Christ Jesus is the risen lion King of kings and Lord of lords. Of course, These are the same Person, though different in demeanor and occupation, for Jesus Christ took off His glory unto death, and Christ Jesus has on His glory unto eternal life, where those in Him will become glorified like Him.

Indeed, those in Christ are even right now seated with Him at the right hand of the Father. We only wait for our glorified bodies as Christ is the first in the eternally glorified body of eternal life.

May your mind be renewed, your faith be strengthened, and your peace be anchored in Christ, in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
