Gardening and Its Benefits You Must Give Yourself for Wellness
Gardening is tending to the earth. It is instantly an act of love and affection. The love professed to the earth is certainly an evident love within the doer. Gardening is therefore love-making to the earth. With every action done declaring adoration to the earth.
From nourishing the soil with water and fertiliser to watching the plant or crop grow to fruition and abundance. Gardening is not just a physical liberation, it is an emotional experience because of the love, care, and hope that is felt for the plant or crop.
Gardening can be a habit that goes beyond being mentally therapeutic and a love, it can make our way of living so much better by reducing the cost of food, eating way healthier, and a serene environment. Mental and emotional health should be cultivated and nourished by the lifestyle lived.
The Benefits
Gardening can be a healthy habit that is done as medicine to enhance and enrich mental and emotional health. Gardening can also be used as a mindfulness practice. We can make a serene environment through bright flowers and create a calm space.
We can plant any seed of fruit or vegetable we would like, or better yet, plant fruit and vegetable seeds for the sake of planting them not because we would like that but because of necessity.
Having fruits and vegetables at our disposal will have us eat them more than we would if we didn’t have them there but had to get them at the store. Perhaps there are too many options in supermarkets to prioritise the best-consumed goods.
We can lighten supermarkets’ jobs by doing the hefty work and produce our own vegetables and fruits for ourselves, ensuring they are organic and free from chemicals. It not only lightens our expenses, but it also becomes wealth for our body and our whole life.
As we are alive, living by live foods by making them the pinnacle of our health is not only knowledge but also wisdom. It is understanding how to live life, how to play the game of life, or how to dance with life.
As life is moving and there’s no stopping it (unless you are Jesus Christ, the risen King of kings), if we do not dance with it it’ll only be at our expense. In this sense of growing our own garden of plants and/or crops, the expense can go from constantly feeling negatively emotionally because of manmade (indigestible chemical) food to spending on what we can produce ourselves.
In this era of awareness and wellness, life should look and feel different than the normal way it’s been. Life should be realized for what it is and lived according to what it is.
Earth is where life is had. Earth is blue and green, with water and plant. What reality professes should be heeded and lived by. Let live foods be primary, and other foods secondary, if not completely absent.
Live by live foods, and let live foods (if need be) accommodate other foods instead of other foods accommodating live foods. That shift is what is necessary for a better life, a better tomorrow for us, our loved ones, and our beloved earth.
